Robot App Lead Developer

Opportunity:

machine learning and neural networks? Looking for a leadership role? We are looking for an

experienced developer who is looking to grow their career by leading a team of computer

science and engineering graduates in the discovery and creation of dynamic robot applications

for business.

Responsibilities:

The Robot App Lead Developer duties include but are not limited to:

a) Managing a growing team of 4-6 developers (full-time and interns)

b) Leading development projects in our Lab with a focus on service robots and

voice-activated systems;

c) Coaching the team on development best practices throughout all phases of the software

development lifecycle

d) Writing and de-bugging programs, demos and co-developing working prototypes;

e) Performing & leading QA activities, documenting usage, design decisions and capabilities;

f) Identifying and recommending continuous improvements in data quality, data

reporting and coding activities;

g) Presenting results and findings to internal business stakeholders.

h) Able to support client service team with on-site robot apps presentations to client

 Skills/Requirements:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming best practices

• Experience in Java, JavaScript, Python

• Experience in application architecture and solution design (especially with Android and

mobile applications)

• Familiar with Agile development methodologies; able to lead daily huddles with development

team

• Collaborative and able to give and receive feedback in a respectful team environment

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning

It would be a bonus if the candidate has additional skills or experience with:

iOS development (Swift/Objective-C); Android development (Kotlin); Node.js;

HTML/Javascript/CSS; Relational databases (MySQL or equivalent); Application Security; Jira

and GitHub

Full-time: We operate with a standard 37.5 hour work week (~9:00am – 5:00pm). Some overtime

may be required.
