Queen’s University Tech Fair
In October 2018 we took our Talent Scout, Juno, to the Queen’s University Engineering & Technology Fall Fair. In the oldest and most historic building on campus, Grant Hall, students met with Juno and our team.
Queen’s University has a great track record at Orange Gate, our CEO, and three of our team members are Queen’s alumni.

Sporting her favourite Hermes scarf, she had a blast meeting people, posing for pictures, and stocking up on scarves.
Our founder, Janneke Ritchie, Design Lead, Nayeon Lee, and Social Media Correspondent, Saffi, were invited to speak with the students in the Interaction and Design Program at Sheridan College. Sheridan holds a special place in Orange Gate’s heart, with four of our team members, including our Design Lead, hailing from the school.
The students were able to experience a demo, ask questions about robots in the workplace and hear about Orange Gate’s creative culture.
Widely successful, Orange Gate attended Elevate Tech Fest in September 2018.
Elevate is a week-long, city wide tech and innovation festival happening from September 23-27, 2019 in 250 venues across Toronto. We will welcome over 10,000 guests to experience 300 inspiring speakers, curated networking, 12 public and private content tracks, an opportunity to explore 200 of Toronto’s most innovative companies and enable talent to explore over 1,000 open opportunities.
