Opportunity:

machine learning and neural networks? We are looking for 3rd or 4th year computer science or

engineering students who love to learn about new technologies and how they work. If you are

Responsibilities:

The developer intern duties include but are not limited to:

(a) Supporting development projects for robots and voice-activated systems like Alexa;

(b) Writing and de-bugging programs and co-developing prototypes using our agile and iterative

approach;

(c) Supporting assigned projects with QA activities and documentation of usage, design

decisions and capabilities;

(d) Identifying and recommending continuous improvements in data quality, reporting and

coding activities;

(e) Presenting results and findings to internal business stakeholders;

(f) Researching new technologies as part of a team using Orange Gate’s research playbook /

process;

Skills/Requirements:

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

• Experience in Java & Python

• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

• Accuracy, attention to detail

• Collaborative and able to give and receive feedback in a respectful team environment

• Fluent in English

It would be a bonus if the candidate has additional skills or experience with:

• iOS development (Swift/Objective-C)

• Node environment (Node.js)

• Web technologies (HTML/Javascript/CSS)

• Relational databases (MySQL or equivalent)

Term: Initial contract term is January 2019 for 4 months up to 16 months, with the potential to extend

to full or part-time thereafter. Summer jobs are also available starting May 1, 2019. We operate with a

standard 37.5 hour work week (~9:30am – 5:30pm).
